Get Flapping!

The modern world is fast-paced and the more information we have, the shorter our attention spans become.  Nowadays I cannot even bare to read anything beyond 500 characters if it’s on a computer screen and aiding our reliance on short, fast information, are micro-blogging sites like Twitter with their 140 character insights into the world.

Always a ready source for satire, this Internet video features a satirical take on the micro-blogging phenomenon by featuring a pretend company called “Flutter” which is introducing the concept of “nano-blogging” upon the world.  In the video, Flutter execs evangelize about how their new 26 character limit will revolutionize the online world.  It’s all very humourous, but I for one can imagine some entrepreneurial type out there going “Holy crap! This actually could work!” After all, whoever knew that a site that allowed people to alert the universe that they were going to the bathroom, then ran out of toilet paper, could kick off?

Personally, I think there should be a site where you communicate only in abbreviations and symbols: GR8 SYTYCD 2nite :D GTG thx bai! <3

Pure genius.
